As a matter of good business practice this company has fully implemented all recommendations contained in the first stage of PIPEDA. Johlin Measurement is now and will remain strongly committed to the recommendations of PIPEDA, to protecting your privacy and to providing a safe online experience for all members and site visitors.
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected at this site. You are welcome to contact Johlin Measurement with your concerns or questions relating to this privacy policy.
Website Contact Form
The only personal information that we collect directly through the contact form is your name and e-mail address. This information is collected when a user voluntarily submits their contact information. That personal information is then used to process the request and is then discarded. That information does not remain in our database records.

Information Collected from Members
When you register for a membership we will require the following contact information:
- your first and last name and e-mail address
- a shipping address
- a contact phone number
The following information is optional:
- your company name
- the name of the courier company that you use for transporting goods
- your courier account number
- your fax number
We use this information to process the shipment of online purchases. We do not share or sell this information to manufacturers, service providers or with any third party. The information will also be used to contact the member in the event that we need to resolve any issues with respect to the shipment of goods and equipment.
We also use this information to send company newsletters to interested subscribers. All members are given the option to have themselves removed from our mailing list from within their personal settings page.
We do not collect, record or store credit card information at this site. All financial transactions between Johlin Measurement Ltd. and members of this site are either processed through PaypalŪ or by money order. However, we do record and store all transaction dollar values in our database.
Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information for a period of two years from the sign up date. If the member is not subscribed to the newsletter or if they have not logged in during that period of time then their information is automatically removed from the database.
This is an automatic process. To prevent legitimate users from accidentally removing themselves from the system we do not provide them with this function. To have your information removed from the system prior to the two year retention period then contact Johlin Measurement with your membership details.
Accessing Your Personal Information
You have a legal right to access the personal information which we have about you and to request that personal information that you believe to be inaccurate be corrected. All members can access this information from within their personal settings page. This area will display a full list of your account history and will provide access to your membership settings.
Contact from Children
This site may receive contact information, e-mail or otherwise, from children without prior parental consent or parental notification. This is unsolicited information and we do not collect the name of anyone, other than for use in conjunction with our business objectives.
Legal Jurisdiction
This site and the servers that make this site available for viewing on the internet are located in the United States of America. Any information provided to this site will be transferred to a server located in the United States. By visiting this site and submitting information to Johlin Measurement you authorize this transfer. Albeit, legal matters relating to this site are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and by the laws of the Government of Canada.
Updates to this Policy Document
This Privacy Policy may be updated to maintain the highest levels of protection for members and to comply with changes in the legal environment. Periodic review of this policy page is recommended to ensure that you are aware of, and understand, current policies. The date of any material changes to this document will be prominently displayed at the time of posting and near the top of this page. Unless legally instructed to do otherwise, all policy changes will apply to the handling of previously collected personal information.
